Manga Mondays: Eden: It's An Endless World! Vol. 14

03/24/2014 11:51am

Edn vol. 14 begins with a dream from when Kante Azevedo was a child. Awakening this morning, he is, in name, the most powerful person on Earth—the newly-elected chairman of the Propater Federation. 45 years ago, he was a frightened boy in Africa fleeing genocide...who learned how laws and lines made far away meant the difference between his life and his family's death. Yet those outside rules saved him from his own land's ethnic hate, and Azevedo has grown up to be a loyal supporter of the globalist order that had saved him, believing that only a united world system could combat the injustices afflicting humanity.
That was this morning. By this afternoon, Azevedo will be face-to-face with the man who represents everything Propater stands against...even as a complicated and violent abduction scheme enters its first moves outside the exclusive private school Mana Ballard attends—its objective, to extract Elijah's sister from Propater's control. But with lethal nanomachines in Mana's system and the streets full of bizarre killers, human and less so, the extraction's team only edge may be that Propater still wants Mana alive...and for how much longer will that even be the case...?
