What makes a trip to your local comic shop even better? Free copies of your favorite Dark Horse titles for Free Comic Book Day 2016!

Avatars, dragons, and zombies, oh my! What could be friendlier for all ages than original tales from some of the most popular titles around? For Free Comic Book Day 2016, take a journey with the Avatar from The Legend of Korra, the dragon riders from How to Train Your Dragon, and the fun-dead of Plants vs. Zombies.

Dark Horse Comics’ Silver comic will feature all-new stories for readers of all ages that make great entry points to new worlds.

• Michael Dante DiMartino, cocreator of the animated series The Legend of Korra, writes the comics prelude to the all-new graphic novel program!

• Acclaimed film writer, director, and producer Dean DeBlois cowrites an all-new How to Train Your Dragon adventure just for comics!

• Eisner Award–winning writer Paul Tobin delivers another hilarious tale from the smash-hit series Plants vs. Zombies!

This promises to be Dark Horse’s biggest Free Comic Book Day yet, with two free comics, each packed with three separate stories. Dark Horse’s Gold offering was announced last week and will feature Aliens, Joss Whedon’s Serenity, and Mike Mignola’s Hellboy.

Dark Horse offers up the best of the very best for next year’s Free Comic Book Day, taking place exclusively at your local comic shop on May 7, 2015.
