Hello Dark Horse fans!

Welcome to Wednesday! We've had quite the awesome announcements this past week! If you've got five minutes, here's a couple you should know!

Dark Horse Digital

As you all know, Dark Horse Digital has taken off, we reached over 70,000 downloads last week and we can only go up from here! We've received some great kudos from various tech sites naming the Dark Horse bookshelf app as the "App of the Week"! Gizmodo's got us on their list! Gizmo Crunch does too!

T3 gave us an excellent review stating,"While Dark Horse doesn't boast many of the household names like Spider-Man and Batman, the publisher is renowned for producing great graphic novels with a little more of an adult edge. The app boasts cloud storage for all users meaning that your comics will sit on a digital bookshelf without using up vital hard-drive space on your hard-drive."

ComicAttack said "The young man has qualities that we’ve seen push others over to the Dark Side of the Force, so get in on the ground floor folks and see where this one is gonna take us!"

Geek Syndicate stated, "If you are a Star Wars fan then I would definitely pick this up. You do not need to know anything from any other Star Wars comic but a brief understanding of the Star Wars universe will help though as there are some small references to other parts of the Star Wars mythos. The bottom line is you get to see Qui-Gon Jinn in action which is worth the price tag all by itself."

More Star Wars!

Fans are loving the thrilling conclusions of two of our huge titles, Star Wars: Legacy-Wars and Star Wars: Darth Vader and the Lost Command!

Here's a great review on Comic Vine.

Wired's Underwire reviewed saying,"Two Sith Lords battling for supremacy, two mostly noble protagonists standing in their way. It’s almost like Dark Horse planned these mirrored showdowns or something!"

Or did we?

The Review Pile

Midtown Comics loved Dr.McNinja Vol. 4: Night Powers! “Night Powers” has all the elements of a young boy’s imagination after eating three packs of Skittles and playing Super Mario Brothers for six hours straight. If you grew up in the nineties, you are sure to appreciate the Nickelodeon and video game references sprinkled throughout."

Dark Horse got a nice mention from FearNet about our exclusive Art of Alice: Madness Returns book, now sold out but available digitally through digital.darkhorse.com!

Robot6 picked up editor Brendan Wright's tweet regarding comic involvement in the current pop culture.

Umbrella Academy got a nice mention from Phoenix New Times in an article about comics penned by rock stars.

Comic Book Movie is excited about the upcoming Buffy season!

and lastly,Publishers Weekly is extremely excited about the launch of GATE 7 through Dark Horse this fall!

Thanks for stopping by to kick off your week with "Dark Horse in the Headlines." We'll see you next week. Same time, same channel. \m/
