This past Saturday, Dark Horse Comics, the premier independent publisher in the industry, took home an impressive number of awards at this year’s Harvey Awards ceremony.

The Harvey is one of the comic book industry’s oldest and most respected awards. Held annually at Baltimore Comic-Con, the Harveys recognize outstanding achievements in over twenty categories, ranging from Best Artist to the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame. They are the only industry awards both nominated and selected by the full body of comic book professionals.

Below is a list of Dark Horse’s wins.

Best Anthology

Dark Horse Presents, edited by Mike Richardson. A multiple Eisner Award (2012, 2013) and 2012 Harvey Award winner, this legendary, premier anthology is back and here to stay! The eighty-page spectacular Dark Horse Presents returns with all-new stories.

Best American Edition of Foreign Material

Blacksad: A Silent Hell, by Juan Díaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido. A multiple Eisner Award (2011, 2013) and 2011 Harvey Award winner, the first Blacksad collection is already in its sixth printing and approaching 20,000 copies sold! In A Silent Hell, Detective John Blacksad returns, with a new case that takes him to a 1950s New Orleans filled with hot jazz and cold-blooded murder!
